Mystics slain in Peregrine inferno
THIRTEEN MAGI personnel were killed last night after flames were seen erupting into the sky off Peregrine Island.
Shortly before midnight, witnesses on the island saw the night sky turn red after an intense fire broke out on cliffs off the Cutlass Isles.
Heroes who rushed to the scene described complete devastation.
Longbow sergeant, Crystal Meeks was visiting Portal Corps when the drama unfolded.
She said: “We got there and the fire had burnt itself out. The rockface was black and the air was thick with ash and smoke. And then we found the bodies. Or what was left of them.”
MAGI representative Michael Thunderhorse confirmed that thirteen operatives had been killed.
He said: “MAGI were responding to intelligence received from one of the city’s supergroups.
“We do not know what happened when our people arrived, but you can be assured we will be investigating this incident robustly.
“Our thoughts are with the families at this time.”

Diablo drug binge mystery
CONTROVERSIAL musician Dee Dee Diablo was admitted to hospital last night.
The Last Word frontwoman Diablo, recently exposed as a member of the vigilante group Silent Tempest, is being treated in an isolation ward at the Phoenix Medical Center, Talos Island, last night.
It is understood she either fell ill or was injured while on Peregrine Island last night.
With a reputation as a hellraiser, rumors are already circulating that Diablo suffered a drug overdose.
However, speaking to the New Inquirer at the hospital last night, Diablo’s reputed lover Nene McAllister said she had been injured while protecting the city.
The Phoenix Medical Center issued a statement as the New Inquirer went to press describing Diablo’s condition as “critical”.
